(air raid siren blows)
Young M.E.: Duck and cover, Rene, duck and cover!
Young Rene: It's just a test.
Young M.E.: No it's not, my daddy says the Commies are going to bomb us, duck and cover!
(siren dies down)
Young Rene: See? Nothing happened.
Young M.E.: Well it could've. (edit)
Lurla: You're always rubbing your lifestyle in my face, missy.
M.E.: We have a lifestyle now?
Lurla: You and your white trash neighbors and your colored friends.
M.E.: I'm going to have to ask you to stop right there because if you don't, it's going to get ugly. (edit)
M.E.: I used to think losing this house would be the worst thing that could happen. If Lurla kills our dog, and I have to look my son in the eyes knowing there was nothing I could do to stop it, that'll be worse. (edit)
