1. AYAOTD vs Goosebumps | 07/29/2006 1:40pm
Which did you like better back in the day? I'd have to say it's a tie but I'm leaning to Goosebumps since their episodes scared me more. AYAOTD just made me think... Both incredible shows none the less though. Too bad Goosebumps isnt Youtube'd as much as AYAOTD though.

I always liked both, but AYAOTD used to freak me out. AYAOTD relied more on good stories, while Goosebumps relied more on good special effects, which they didn't have.

The Goosebumps books were SO good, I had nearly all of them. I loved AYAOTD, the show, better. But both were excellent.

I LOVED BOTH!But Goosebumps hand down because it was more interactive and AYAOTD was more creepy but kind of the same every time.a whole bunch of kids sit at a campfire and tell scary stories.Besides I watched more goosebumps as a kid than AYAOTD

Yes, that was the introduction. The episodes themselves weren't the same. Goosebumps followed the same formula for each episode and got annoying fast. But AYAOTD did a good job of keepind basically the same thing fresh.

Are you serious?? Goosebumps were not scary at all! AYAOTD was actually scary and had good stories. I agree with most of you when u say that the books were better than the show

For me, it's no question that AYAOTD wins. Goosebumps was okay, I liked watching it, but AYAOTD was actually creepy/scary.

I think in some ways a comparison isn't easy. Goosebumps was more of a classic monsters and ghosts scary. AYAotD was sometimes more of a what the heck? messed up scary. Like The Tale of The Drak Music, I watched it like 2 months ago and at the end i was just like "...What?" It scared me becuase it was so odd, you know? I forget what it's called, but the one where the old guy stays young using the mirrors that suck the life out of people, that was one of those wierd ones too.

But the question of which is better, I would say AYAotD.

Okay I forgot what i put but...

GOOSEBUMPS!!!!

I put this because it was more popular and not only that some of the episodes ACTUALLY scared me as a kid even now but to me AYAOTD wasan't on much,it didn't scare me,sorta bored me,and WAS THE SAME DANG PLOT!!!!Kids around a campfire tell a scary story..blah lah dee blah.Goosebumps was funny,scary and exciting all at once but I just can't find any downloads of it...Only one epi of AYAOTD scared me,Laughing in the dark...It depends what episode of Goosebumps it is,like I DESPISED Werewolf of Fever Swamp for some reason and also Deep Trouble was freaky....O.O but still don't be hating Goosebumps,you gotta admit,it was at least funny.I like both but Goosebumps rulez

True that doom, I also liked goosebumps it was interactive, plus because if i like something, i need the merchdise, which ayaotd didn't have much of, and goosebumps had more than you can imagine.

Although the Goosebumps book series was great, it didn't really translate very well into television.  Although there were a couple of really good episodes, the majority of them did not do the books justice.  So, as far as a tv show is concerned, I thought AYAOTD was much better.  It was well-acted and did a better job of scaring the audience.  Especially the earlier episodes.

AYAOTD = Great TV Show Series

Goosebumps= Great Book Series

yes the Goosebumps adaption on Tv was very Poor.
