Full Synopsis

The gang throw a leaving party for Jamie as he prepares to head off to University in Scotland. Sooz is feeling a little down over his departure, and suggests that they don't remain in an exclusive relationship. But, truth is, Jamie didn't get the grades to get into University - only he's too scared to tell anyone and has been pretending he's leaving all this time. Only Rob knows the truth. Jamie fakes his departure and leaves, as Alex and Sooz move in together. Meanwhile, Nicki chats up an attractive estate agent, Christain, so that she and Sasha can get a flat and move in together. Rob also learns he's up for eviction. When Jamie returns, Alex is furious and worries about how Sooz will take the shock. Jamie reveals himself at Alex and Sooz's housewarming party and has a lot of explaining to do, but he tells the truth. However, Jamie is still lying to his parents and decides to move in with Sooz and Alex so that he can keep living the lie, Alex though, isn't happy.

Quotes

Alex: No way, no way. No way. Uh uh. No. No! No! No, no, no, no, no, no. No! (edit)
Jamie: The first thing you do when your in a hole, is stop digging. Up till now I've been going at it with a JCB. (edit)
Rob: So Nicki's a born-again Virgin, Sooz is playing away, and your going to Inverness. (edit)
Alex: You've given up sex, that's like, like Buffy giving up slaying vampires!
Nicki: I read it somewhere that if you don't do it for a year, it's like your practically a Virgin again.
Alex: Practically? Isn't being a virgin kinda like an either/or? (edit)
Jamie: What is it they say? Men make plans and god laughs? Yeah, well he's having a right old giggle at the moment. But - why me? (edit)

Trivia

add »
Hey, even though Buffy's ended...the character's still going to be slaying vampires...off screen somewhere. She's still the Chosen One! (edit)
Where did Sooz and Alex get all the people at their house party from? We never see that any of the six friends, have any other friends, out of the group. (edit)
Throughout this episode, it's made clear Jamie is leaving but will be back at Christmas. So the episode is set in Septmeber (as that's when Uni starts). But these episodes premiered in the UK in February/March. So maybe there was a delay in showing them and the series was meant to go out in September. (edit)
It's clear the show was filmed a while before it aired, because Alex makes a comment about Buffy never giving up slaying vampires, yet the hit TV-Series ended last year. (edit)
When Jamie and Rob are walking down the street behind them you can see Christmas trees for sale. A bit strange considering that it's supposed to be September. (edit)
