I'm noticing this error on all main pages of the guides that have a season or series finales that is made up of more than 1 episode.

    For example: Reba

    http://www.tv.com/reba/show/1409/summary.html

The final two episodes aired as a 1 hour series finale. The main page of the guide shows the first part (The Housewarming) of that series finale as the final episode but really it's the second part (The Kids are Alright) that is the final episode. Is there a way that this previous/final episode feature on the main page of all the tv show summaries can pull the actual final episode instead of the first episode that falls on that final airing date?

This isn't just an issue with 'Reba', I see this on other major guides including Supernatural (one the top shows onTV.com right now) and Friends.

I'll just expand on this that it's not just a finale issue. Any time two new episodes air the same night this is an issue, it's just less obvious when it happens in the middle of the season because it goes away after a week or two instead of being like that for months.

Well, with shows that are over, it will never go away, in weeks, or months or years. If that's how the last episode(s) ended the series.

It ~is~ annoying; I edit "That 70s Show" which ended in 2006 with a double bill episode. Not a one-hour special... just 2 episodes aired back-to-back, and the guide shows "FINAL EPISODE" as the first of the two instead of the second (ie: "That 70s Finale")

And I get submissions from users on that second-to-last episode, saying: this isn't the final episode.

Right. It isn't, but there's nothing I can do to fix it, and I can't accept that sub either, 'cause there's 199 episodes that ~aren't~ the final episode, and I'm not going there!

What do they try to edit to "fix" it?

It's usually submitted as Trivia or Notes -- a new submission, not an edit. Just a statement: "This isn't the final episode." (With or without capitalization and/or punctuation! )
