Skunk tries escaping from prison and almost succeeds until the police finally capture him again. They put him in an even more disclosed area and have tighter security so that he'll have absolutely no chance to escape. Astro goes with his friends to the marine park. There, he finds a gigantic robot, whose been shut down, sitting in the nearby ocean. Miss Miyoki tells Astro that the robot's name is Jumbo. She says Jumbo's her friend ever since he was first introduced at the robot festival years back as one of the main attractions. Skunk's friends re-program Jumbo to use him to break Skunk out of prison. There's a strong force field around the prison, and nothing can pass through it, except for Jumbo because he's such an old robot with older technology. But Astro can't go through, which causes the re-programmed Jumbo to wreak havoc. Astro must somehow convince Jumbo to think back to the old days and fight the control Skunk's friends have on him.
