Austin Nichols: Biography

Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan to parents David and Kay Nichols, Austin was raised in Ausin, Texas. When he was in high school, Austin didn't excel in the traditional high school sports, like basketball, football, and soccer, but instead was a world-class water skier. His career began when he was signed by a manager who he met at a Sundance Film Festival he had crashed. At the age of eighteen, Austin moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. While in California, Austin attended the University of Southern California, majoring in English. In 2003, Austin was in the film The Utopian Society in which his performance was praised by the critics, and it was the first movie that he had a major role in that achieved critical success. After this role, the next major roles he would play in box office The Day After Tomorrow and Wimbledon would only further his career and launch him into the demanding industry, in which he is now considered one of the most promising up and coming stars.
