I wouldn't hold your breath even if a local affiliate has the rights, they will hold on to them just long enough to annoy the hec out of any potential audience. FTA in Australia have a death wish I reckon.

It just "sucks", look how popular paranormal shows are since BUFFY and ANGEL .I think australian networks must have there heads in the sand.

In my opinion, the lack of vampire show coverage is because of Seven's poor treatment of BtVS and Angel.

Plus, Blood Ties is on Fox8, if you had Foxtel or someone else you know does.

    According to TV Week.

Foxtel's 'Showcase' has picked up True Blood to air early 2009. (I'd say january)

You're not wrong marie-lee. Ages ago I got so frustrated with the airing times of Stargate SG1 that I phoned Channel 7 to find out what was going on. They informed me that Sci-fi does not rate well here in Australia. If that's the case, then I suppose we're lucky to receive any Sci-fi shows at all.

We don't have pay TV and as a result, like you, I just buy the DVDs when they come out. A few times, the box set Season DVDs have arrived here before Channel 7 even finished showing the series!
