Looking at the article, it doesn't really say much.
The main difference between Pay TV and FTA is that FTA has a limited selection and tries to aim at providing programming that lots of people want to watch. On the other hand, pay TV tries to cater towards specific tastes, and rather than putting on mainstream shows, you've got networks devoted entirely towards genres which would otherwise be considered niche markets. I don't think the two are directly comparable in the way that was done in the article because pay TV is designed to get people to watch heaps of different channels, while free to air is designed to get heaps of people watching the same channel.

I do like Go! because I like watching The Nanny, Seinfeld, Entertainment Tonight and The Hills. Although I wish they would stop taking The Hills on and off the air all the time! Just frikin put it in a timeslot and bloody leave it there!
