Last episode: Episode 6
The nominees head to Canberra for the State finals of the Australian of the Year competition. Ja'mie, ever so generous, brings her Sudanese sponsor child, Sonali, to the awards. Daniel and Nathan are more interested in fireworks than the awards. Pat puts her illness aside and rubs shoulders with celebrities. Ricky gets the chance to meet Cathy Freeman while Phil faces humiliation and family rejection as he tries to bribe his way into the awards.

This comedy narrative series shot like a real documentary follows the lives of a group of prospective nominees for Australian of the Year. Created by Chris Lilley formerly of the sketch comedy show Big Bite.

"Classic"
Using the guise of mockumentary, Chris Lilley has created a series of characters that simultaneously poke their tongue at post "dinky di" Australian culture, and transcend it, creating uniquely memorable comic characters.
