The show could have been SO much better if the comet came when Aang was 15 or 16. He never even learned fire bending really. It had been said sometime that it took them years to master each element and yet Aang mastered two elements (earth and water) in less then a year

Actually he mastered Water in less than a year, because he was already a master Airbender before he was frozen.

what? i know he already mastered airbending but the Avatar is supposed to take several years to master each element and yet Aang mastered Earth and Water in less then a year

if i may... i think that aang has only mastered air bending BECAUSE if he had mastered water & earth he would use them SOOOOO much more. aang is very good at water bending and good at earth bending but he is a master air bender

he didn't really master them so much as learn how to use them, and he took alot of shortcuts i mean even looking at his waterbending compared to katara, he can move large amounts of water and stuff but he can't do half the stuff katara can, so he didn't really master them and if it wasn't for his avatar state he would be dead

alright that makes more sense that he is just decent at earth and water, i just wish the show took longer then a year so he could master them
