Garabaldi, and Ivanava because she's a babe.

I like Sheridan better than Sinclair.

I always liked Marcus Cole, his arrival in Season Three added a really interesting, energetic and surprisingly very funny character. Hardly the most atypical Ranger, I do remember that his arrival also coincided with my sister growing interest in B5. I think the Marcus Cole/Susan Ivanova romance was handled really well. Interested me more than the Delenn/Sheridan romance, which just felt like a cosy storypoint.

However, Garibaldi had to be the most interesting character to me over the course of the entire 5 year saga. I was really annoyed to hear that his story had been moved from the first Lost Tales DVD release to the second volume.

But that's the thing about Babylon 5. I had a myriad of really interesting characters, each of which had a unique facet that created a universe of characters that made B5 so bloody brilliant. I was why I was disappointed by Crusade and Legend of the Rangers, as the only character I really cared for out of both of those was Galen, and even he struggled to reach the heights of B5.

marcus was a great charcter as well he made it intersting when he come into the season 3. i hope that there would of been a romance with susan but it never happen. i personally found it heart breaking when he died. and susan was in the medlab with steven and was deverstated when she found out what he had done to save her life. must say i did have to get my box of tissues for that scene.

I loved G'Kar, adored him, so much. Then Sheridan, Garibaldi, Londo, and of course Marcus and did I ever cry when he died, never mind when I cried at Sleeping in Light. But, my heavens,, Andreas Katsulas was so brilliant as that wonderful Narn.

Londo, although there are so many good ones. Hard to think of a character I didn't like, really.

I liked all of the characters in Babylon 5, all for different reasons. This is my short list, because I can go for days over what I liked about this show.

1) G'Kar - For his sagely wisdom and how much he grew as a character. He started out as someone who was consumed by revenge, but became wiser and stronger for all of his experiences.

2) Londo Mollari - For his passion of life, which only ended when he had G'Kar squeeze the life out of him. Although he treated his life like his hot jalla, he still did what was best for his people.

3) Mr. Bester - It's said that a hero is defined by how evil his villains are and they didn't come out as bad as Bester. Don't be fooled by his "I'm protecting my people" stance, he was part of weaponizing the telepaths even before the Shadows used the Psi Corp ones in their ships. He was privy to "Dark Talia" and Jason Ironheart. Not to mention what he did to Garibaldi. A nasty piece of work like Bester, made everyone look cleaner and I can appreciate that.

4) Vir Cotto - Even though he appeared bumbling, he had the most compassion and was Londo's angel on his shoulder. Even though Londo didn't listen to his advice, he still would do the right thing for all. I'm glad he became Emperor of the Centauri, but was it with or without Drac influence.

5) Michael Garibaldi - He was the blue-collar man, the beat cop of Babylon 5. He wasn't as military as the other officers, if he had to solve a problem, he would think outside the box even bend a few rules to get the job done. Even as a computer simulation, he was the most dangerous out of Sheridan, Delenn, and Dr. Franklin.
