Baretta: You old rummy, your supposed to be playin' nursemaid here and get the kid ready to go out to the carnival. And your sittin' here tryin' to be Houdini. With those rummy hands of yours, you couldn't fool a wino, who was blind and in a coma! Get outta here you ...
Billy: That tears it, now look, this time it's goin' to be my entire bank roll. Six cents, if I lose that, I'll default.
Baretta: Go ahead kid, it's money in the bank. Trust Uncle Tony. With this old rummy it ain't gamblin', it's stealin'. (edit)
Baretta: Now tell me about the two guys who worked you over.
Penguin: I'm kinda thin.
Baretta: Yeah, yeah, now go ahead and tell me. One of 'em was a black guy and the other was a white guy. Did he have thick glasses and couldn't see good?
Penguin: Yeah that's him, yeah from outta town, he gotta a bunch of weirdos man.
Baretta: What did they hit on you for, did they want to score?
Penguin: You mean fix.
Baretta: Yeah fix.
Penguin: I took 'em there you know in good faith, to see the man.
Baretta: And then they worked you over. What man?
Penguin: The man, you know...
Baretta: I said what man? Don't get cute with me junkie, I hate pushers in the first place, and there's a little girls life involved. Now tell me what man or I'll rip your arm off.
Penguin: Teak, Teak, there's Teak, he's the man.
Baretta: I know that guy man, I busted him twice and it didn't stick. How's he do his thing?
Penguin: It's a shoeshine you know, it's a front and the boot black he deals. It's forty dollars a shine.
Baretta: Okay, you put that double saw buck in your arm, I don't want to know you, but if you want to get cleaned up come and see me and I will get you thru it, understand.

(edit)
Baretta: You lookin' awful flashy there for the middle of the afternoon, Butterfly.
Rooster: Yeah well this is the busiest time of the day, you know the businessman's lunch.
Baretta: Yeah, well anyway, I'm lookin' for a couple a junkies. Out-of-towners. It's gonna be hard to recognize 'em but ah anyway they knocked off old Bennie the blind guy who runs the Hot Dog stand and I figure they must be tryin' to score by now.
Rooster: Well how do I tell 'em from the rest of the riff raff on the block. I mean the ones that ain't killed no one yet.
Baretta: I ain't got alot, all I know is there's a black guy and a white guy. One of them is wearing glasses, thick glasses. Yeah I know that ain't gonna help much less ya see someone bumpin' into walls. Oh yeah black guy wears leather with a bag on him and a gadget in it. What am I lookin' at what is that.
Rooster: What you got there is a black man's good luck charm. Dude who carries this has an edge with the ladies. (edit)
Baretta: Arrest them two Jamokes, if they aren't the handbag snatchers, I'll marry them. (edit)
