Brubaker: Yeah well I got your case for you right here.

Brubaker: See you know a runner who works for Jewel named Mouse?

Brubaker: Down inside DOA. This van belongs to a man named Henry Richardson, mean anything to ya.
Baretta: Yeah that's connected up with the numbers racket.

Baretta: You find anything.
Brubaker: Naw, we been beatin' the bushes for half an hour. No policy slips, no money, no nothin', see what you can find.
Baretta: Hey Kowalski get that flashlight in here. Alright Stanley you got anything yet.
Stanley: Nope everything's pretty clean Ton, so far.
Baretta: Wow, that's weird. Hey Kowalski, this windshield look broke to you.
Kowalski: Well there's a flecture crack in the upper right hand corner.
Baretta: A what?
Kowalski: A flecture crack in the upper right hand corner.
Baretta: You college kids are all alike, what I'm talkin' about is how come this guys got glass in his mellon and this windshield ain't broke, there's no glass around, hey Boss somebody snuffed this guy before they threw him down here.
Brubaker: What makes you think that?
Baretta: Cuz he's got glass in his head and there ain't no glass broke around him anyplace. We gotta take this whole thing to forensics to find out where this glass comes from.
Brubaker: Okay that does it we're gonna seal this thing up put it on a trailer take it downtown and work on it there. I'll make the call.
Kowalski: Now why didn't I see that?
Baretta: On account you got too many degrees. (edit) C.C.: Hey Rooster, do you want a coupla stocks for your girls? I'll give you a good price.
Rooster: Get them in a bad habit, ain't no way brother. Hey come here C.C., what you doin' out here in the street man? Dude like yourself, an heir to great wealth, havin' to scrounge and scrape for the straight green. What it is?

Rooster: The Thrift shop, seriously.
C.C.: Yeah
Rooster: Man your Mama is gonna be rollin' in mink and you're talkin' about buyin' from the thrift shop.

Rooster: Heard your Mama's number hit, 652, it came thru, the God's smiled and boom.
C.C.: What? Ma's number hit.
Rooster: Yeah
C.C.: Are you decking me?
Rooster: I ain't deckin' you and I ain't jiving you. Lady is gonna pick up 47 hundred dollars. She's running all over the streets cryin' and singin' right now.
C.C.: Can't be.
Rooster: Now you callin' me a liar. It's okay man, now you get yourself on home, help your old lady count up all that green, and get to spendin' it like a rich little Rockefeller should. You dig.
C.C.: I can't, what I mean is I can't believe ... I gotta go someplace to pick up somethin'.
