Once again, The Dynamic Duo employs the use of a Homing Battransmitter to ensnare The Mad Hatter.

Writer Charles Hoffman based his material on a comic book story, "The Mad Hatter of Gotham City" from Detective Comics #230 (April 1956), but did little to develop the material.

This was David Wayne's final performance of Jervis Tetch, The Mad Hatter. He previously appeared in Season 1 episodes The Thirteenth Hat & Batman Stands Pat and in Season 2 episodes The Contaminated Cowl and this one.
