  • This is the first appearance of the Puzzler. edit »
  • The late Maurice Evans is best known to devout TV buffs as Maurice, father of Samantha on Bewitched, which appeared on the same ABC Thursday night schedule as Batman. To movie buffs, he is remembered as Dr. Zaius in the 1968 20th Century-Fox movie Planet Of The Apes & the 1970 follow up Beneath the Planet of the Apes. edit »
  • Fred De Gorter's script originally began as a Riddler vehicle entitled "A Penny For Your Riddles/They're Worth A Lot More!" probably intended as an early second season episode. Frank Gorshin was unavailable, so De Gorter rewrote the script for a new villain, Mr. Conumdrum, titled "The Conumdrums are Coming/The Duo is Slumming," which in turn was changed to The Puzzler (actually a Superman villain in the comic books). edit »
