TRIVIA

  • When Ten looks at her watch during the fight with Batman, it's 11:32. They fight, take a hostage and escape. Right after he saves the guard, Batman looks at a clock, it's 12:32. It seems unlikely that that little exchange took a whole hour. edit »
  • The chairs in the center of the hotel room change between shots. They go from plain wood, to upholstered with white cushions. edit »
  • When Batman is thrown against the hotel room wall by the playing-card explosion, a lamp and a four-legged table also hit the wall. However, the floor plan Terry examined shows no four-legged table in that room. edit »
  • Trivia: Bruce compares Terry's relationship with Melanie to his own relationship with Selina Kyle/Catwoman. edit »
  • As Terry and Melanie say goodbye after their second "date" (after the Royal Flush Gang breaks into the museum), she runs off while still wearing Terry's trademark jacket. However, when Melanie calls him a few hours later, Terry is seen wearing his jacket. edit »

QUOTES

  • Melanie: Two of a kind. That's what we are. edit »
  • Bruce: The Royal Flush Gang's been around a long time. They bring in new members, sons, daughters, husbands, wives, as the older ones retire or go to jail. They think they're better then everyone else. The aristocrats of crime! edit »
  • Terry: I got this... afterschool job. Takes up a lot of my time. Too much
Melenie: Maybe you should ask your boss for more time off.
Terry: Not this guy. Him you don't ask for time off. edit »
  • Bruce: Everything all right there?
Batman: Fine. Perfect. Except they got away. edit »
  • Socialite: Mine's bigger then yours.
King: All the money in the world and not an ounce of refinement. edit »
  • King: You're acting like children! If you would have been pros, Batman would have been dead by now.
Jack: We got away with the jewels! What difference does that make!
King: I will tell you the difference! Years ago when I was your age, he broke up this gang for a while, he outsmarted us, humiliated us. And I have been waiting years to pay him back. edit »
  • Terry: Hey, I put my life on the line all the time. One night isn't going to make any difference.
Bruce: One night always makes the difference! edit »
  • (Entering a museum)
Terry: You should see this place -- antiques, relics ... you'd feel right at home here.
    Bruce: Cute. edit »

  • This episode, along with "Golem", "The Winning Edge", and "Meltdown" were released on DVD with "Rebirth" (parts one and two) a.k.a. Batman Beyond: The Movie. edit »
  • The Royal Flush gang is introduced. edit »
  • While not exactly a Goof, it will later be revealed that there are two earlier incarnations of the Royal Flush Gang in the DC Animated Universe, in the 20th century. Both are seen in Justice League Unlimited. The first is a gang of five super-powered teenage mutants that appear in "Wild Cards". The second gang, created by the mental powers of one of the first gang's members, Ace, appear in "Epilogue". This incarnation of the Gang isn't mentioned in either episode, despite the fact they date back generations. Neither of those incarnations are related to this one. edit »

ALLUSIONS

  • King: We have all the time in the world.
King utters this line twice. George Lazenby does the voice of King. The same line is the last line he ever utters as James Bond in the film On Her Majesty's Secret Service. edit »
