In the episode "The Ultimate Thrill", Batgirl is talking to Batman via phone and she gives him information on Roxy Rocket working with Penguin and when she refers to where she got her information from, you see two girls standing next to her and one of the designs reminds me of Black Canary.

- Yeah, and it's the same woman seen in the flashback during "Return of the Joker". But I doubt that Black Canary would have that sleazy a past, so I'd say it's not her.You must be registered and logged in to post a message.

Yeah, but they may have added her design in because at the time, i think some of the creators were still a tad POed that they couldn't do a black canary/catwoman episode last season because Robin wasnt gonna be in it.

Yeah, that was a horrible move by the censors. What's wrong with them anyway? Back in the B:TAS days, they had to impose annoying rules like toning down the violence. Since then, the DCAU shows became more violent but at the expense of more gritty, dark, realistic scenarios. You must be registered and logged in to post a message.
Standards for what people think is acceptable violence, especially in kids shows, tend to relax slowly over time. so that is part of the change. A bigger part is that the shows went from being produced for afternoon broadcast to, in the case of Justice League, showing in prime time on a cable network. That makes a huge difference in what censors will allow or not.theportal wrote: sporkman5353 wrote: theportal wrote: Yeah, and it's the same woman seen in the flashback during "Return of the Joker". Yeah, the censors were stupid. Batman: Animated has all sorts of trivia on what they edited, like something as dumb as a bat pooping on Alfreds shoulder.

He said he read it in Batman: Animated, which is a huge book written by the series creators with behind the scenes information. And sporkman, I thought it said that every one in three thugs had to be caucasian (for every fight scene, apparently). You must be registered and logged in to post a message.
