The special features on one of the DVD sets has a feature about the voice work, and has him going back and forth between the two while talking about it.

I think its that with anyone who knew he was batman he used the Batman voice, and we hardly ever say him talking to anyone else in those episodes. could be wrong though.

I remember that, but, i dont think of kevin Conroy as a lazy or bad voice actor, and i guess i noticed his voice was rougher as bruce in GK, but there mustve been some reason.

The differences were still there, but they were more subtle. In JLU (Maid of Honor), You can see there is a difference between Bruce's voice and Batman's. However, in "The Once and Future Thing: Pt. 1" Bruce's voice sounds identical to Batman's. This has led me to believe that Batman's voice is his real voice and Bruce's is the put on.
You may also notice in Batman Beyond (Rebirth Pt. 2), there was a difference between the voice Bruce uses around the house, and the voice he used in front of Terry's mom.

Yeah I noticed that.
Anyway there isnt much differance in TOaFT because Bruce Wayne is the put on, not just the voice.

Old Bruce in Beyond always sounded more like Batman, although when in public he does still lighten his voice a little. But when Talking to Terry or anyone who knows its deeper.

Didn't I just say that?

It was much lighter, like his public voice in TAS. Best examples would be in "Mask of the Phantasm," "Zatanna," and either "Night of the Ninja" or "Day of the Samurai." Can't remember if both Japan flashbacks have him talking much when younger, but I know one does.
