Forums: Batman Gotham Knights: Worst episode
- Just interested to see what you guys think is the worst that TNBA has to offer. I'm torn between "Critters" and "Cult of the Cat", personally; both were a dramatic shift in tone that didn't suit the series or the characters, and neither were terribly original. You must be registered and logged in to post a message.
- Critters, The Ultimate Thrill, Mean SeasonsYou must be registered and logged in to post a message.
- "Critters" was the worst episode as far as I'm concerned. You must be registered and logged in to post a message.
- "Love Is A Croc", I consider that not only the worst of the series but the worst of the entire DCAU, and yes I have seen "I've Got Batman In My Basement"You must be registered and logged in to post a message.
batman12 wrote: Critters, The Ultimate Thrill, Mean Seasons I liked the ultimate thrill. Then again i like most everything from the dcau. Critters is the worst episode but its okay.
You must be registered and logged in to post a message.- My opinion has changed a bit. I don't really mind "Cult of the Cat" anymore. Plus, I thought "Mean Seasons" and "The Ultimate Thrill" were good episodes. You must be registered and logged in to post a message.
I loved "Love is Croc" =o. True that Baby Doll was mis-casted but I loved that episode. And I also like "Mean Seasons". "Critters" wasn't exactly my favorite but I dispized "Legends of the Dark Knight".Darknight57 wrote: "Love Is A Croc", I consider that not only the worst of the series but the worst of the entire DCAU, and yes I have seen "I've Got Batman In My Basement" You must be registered and logged in to post a message.DarthFreeza wrote:

That's interesting... "Legends of the Dark Knight" is one of the most popular episodes. I wouldn't say it's among the very best, though. You must be registered and logged in to post a message.
I can't see it as popular other than reasons involving "The Dark Knight Returns!" having a clip in it. I found their jokes not funny, lame lines from Firefly, horrible interpretation of what children say/do today (at their estimated ages), and just kinda boring.theportal wrote: DarthFreeza wrote:

As for the topic, I'm gonna have to (in a rare occurrence) jump on the bandwagon and say that "Critters" gets my voteYou must be registered and logged in to post a message. logi wrote: "Critters" was the worst episode as far as I'm concerned. I agree and the one with Croc and Baby Doll

I agree, I didn't care too much about the kids' takes on what Batman looked like in their minds.DarthFreeza wrote:

Love is a croc was also lame as I didn't like the idea of Baby Doll and Killer Croc as a 'couple' talk about "ewww!"
If I had to rate Critters, I say that is the 3rd Worst overall. And following that would be Mean Season because the woman turned out to be pretty, but just insane in the head thinking she sees only her flaws. How does that justify her crimes?

And a little spoiler, Bruce Timm and crew also joked about how at the end they see this stupid worthless enemy firefly right after 2 great story telling scenes

Its a bonus feature on gotham knights 2 disc edition (the dtv, not this show), and alot of pages are spent on it in batman-animated.

I've seen the commentary recently when I was going through special features and I know that alot went into the episode and that it was one of Dini and Timm's favorites but I still don't think it is appealing top me. Seeing the commentary made me appritiate it a tad more but not enough to make me want to watch it frequentlyKennymacdougall wrote: DarthFreeza wrote:
