Red Claw: Londoners, your ancient city may pride itself on having survived plagues, fires, even the Blitz, but unless five billion pounds are delivered to me by midnight tonight, there will be nothing left to survive. We have Blairquhan Castle and its missile installation, and the codes to operate the missiles. You have one hour. Otherwise, I'll be forced to plant this warhead in the middle of Trafalgar Square, and if I do that, well... (chuckles) God save the Queen. (edit)
(Alfred breaks a chair over a thug's head)
Robin: And here all I thought you dusted was furniture.
Alfred: A Louis Quinze; what a pity. (edit)
Red Claw: I’ve wasted enough courtesy on you two!
Frederick: Courtesy? None than I have seen... (Red Claw slaps him) (edit)
Dick: What would we do without you, Alfred?
Alfred: I shudder to think! (edit)

Trivia

In a shot establishing Alfred on the streets of London, a double-decker bus can be seen driving past in the background, on the right-hand side of the road. The passenger door can also be seen on the right-hand side of the vehicle. In the United Kingdom, automobiles travel on the left-hand side of the road, and (by necessity) have passenger doors on the left-hand side of the vehicle. (edit)

This episode is called "The Lion And The Unicorn" after the nursery rhyme of the same name.
"The lion and the unicorn were fighting for the crown
The lion beat the unicorn all around the town.
Some gave them white bread, and some gave them brown;
Some gave them plum cake and drummed them out of town."

The nursery rhyme was created when the Scottish and the English kingdoms were unified in 1603. Scotland's coat of arms featured two unicorns, and England's featured two lions. When a new coat of arms was made, it featured one lion wearing a crown on its head, and one unicorn with a crown around its neck. The how each animal wore its crown represented the fact that England dominated the Scotland. Inevitably, Scotland wanted its independence, so the Lion and the Unicorn ended up "fighting for the crown". (edit)
