Susan Hogan, who played the tribunal judge Captain Franks, is the real-life wife of series regular Michael Hogan (Saul Tigh). (edit) For the second episode in a row, Katee Sackhoff did not appear (although her picture was seen in the previous episode, "The Son Also Rises"). She was not listed in the opening credits either. (edit) This episode contained no traditional symphonic music at all, partly in order to emphasize the mysterious song fragments that Colonel Tigh heard throughout the episode. (edit) The usual opening title sequence was removed from this episode and the names of the main cast members appeared on screen during the teaser. Helo: (to Gaeta) I was just uh, just remembering back on Caprica, when the weather was about to change. You'd, you'd get this smell in the air. I mean, the sun could be out, not a cloud in the sky, but you'd pick up this smell and you knew that um, something was just over the horizon. Weather's changing, Felix. We need to be ready for it. There's a storm coming. (edit) Lee: Madame President, are you taking chamalla at this time?
Roslin: Captain Apollo. You remember that? I always thought it had such a nice ring to it. I am so, so sorry for you now. (edit) Lee: The accused has a right to challenge the credibility of witnesses against him. That's just the way it is.
Dee: The system is broken Lee! The system elected that man to be president and the system's trying to let him walk. That is not a system that deserves to be defended. It deserves to be taken apart and put back together again. (edit) Number Six: (to Baltar) I saw a woman who can see you more clearly than you can see yourself. Even if they kill you, your name will live on forever. (edit) Baltar: Well, I suppose it can't be helped. Celebrity trials invariably bring out the crazies. (edit)

Before Lampkin questions Tigh, he discusses Tigh with Baltar and Lee at the table. Lampkin holds a glass of water that is about two-thirds full. As the camera view shifts, the glass is only one-third full. Lampkin did not have time to drink any water in that fraction of a second. (edit) At the beginning of Baltar's trial, President Roslin is seated next to Tory, behind the prosecutor's table, but after the camera focus moves around the courtroom and returns, Roslin is no longer there.
