Razor Flashback #4 received a 2008 Emmy Award nomination in the category of Outstanding Special Class - Short-format Live-action Entertainment Programs as "Razor Featurette #4". The nomination cited Ronald D. Moore (Executive Producer), David Eick (Executive Producer) and Harvey Frand (Supervising Producer). (edit)
McGavin: Hey, you put your boots out?
Adama: Ran into the commander while I was doing it.
McGavin: Frak, what'd he say?
Adama: Took one look at my bare feet and said, "What do you hear, Husker?"
McGavin: Nothing but the rain, sir!
Adama: Grab your gun and bring the cat in.
McGavin: Boom, boom, boom.

This dialogue from Flashback #1 is a discussion of a jodie, a military marching chant or cadence. This particular jodie was first spoken in the opening scene of the Miniseries when Starbuck jogged past Adama. Ronald Moore based the jodie on similar cadences that he remembered from his Naval ROTC days in college. However, Moore never wrote out this jodie completely. He liked the nonsensical nature of the lines. He also left it up to the audience to wonder about the full jodie as well as the deeper meaning of it between Starbuck and Adama. Now we learn that Adama was familiar with this jodie back in his early days in the Colonial military. (edit)
Wayne Rose directed Flashbacks #1 and #2. Felix Alcala directed Flashbacks #3 through #7. (edit)

Young Adama: (reporting to Galactica) I crashed on the surface. They were making something down here. Experimenting on people to do it, and now they're getting away with whatever they built.
Galactica: Husker. Husker, the war is over.
Young Adama: What? Galactica, repeat!
Galactica: The war is over. An armistice was just signed.

(from Flashback #7) (edit)
Deep Electronic Voice: All this has happened before, and will happen again.

(from Flashback #5) (edit)
Young Adama: I heard they were negotiating. Trying to reach a peace settlement.
McGavin: Yeah, I think I heard that one too. But if you think about it, why would they surrender? You know, they're frakking machines. Shoot one down, they just build more.

(from Flashback #1) (edit)
