Razor Flashback #4 received a 2008 Emmy Award nomination in the category of Outstanding Special Class - Short-format Live-action Entertainment Programs as "Razor Featurette #4". The nomination cited Ronald D. Moore (Executive Producer), David Eick (Executive Producer) and Harvey Frand (Supervising Producer). (edit) McGavin: Hey, you put your boots out?

This dialogue from Flashback #1 is a discussion of a jodie, a military marching chant or cadence. This particular jodie was first spoken in the opening scene of the Miniseries when Starbuck jogged past Adama. Ronald Moore based the jodie on similar cadences that he remembered from his Naval ROTC days in college. However, Moore never wrote out this jodie completely. He liked the nonsensical nature of the lines. He also left it up to the audience to wonder about the full jodie as well as the deeper meaning of it between Starbuck and Adama.
