Joey's mother's name was Kyla Weaver, then she married a man, Jennings. Yet in this episode Kyla's parents have the last name Jennings, wouldn't it be Weaver? Even then that I suppose could have been her first husbands name, assuming she married Joey's biological father. Then she would have had a different maid name all together.

Another point does this indicated that Joey was legally adopted by her step father since she has his last name. (edit)
