Pip and Pop absolutely love baseball. They collect baseball cards and are especially obsessive in their interest in Ferret Jeeter --- their baseball idol who they believe to be capable of any sort of amazing feat you could possibly think of. They declare Ferret Jeeter to be their hero and take little notice of Bear's trying to tell them that he knows Ferret Jeeter --- after all, everyone knows Ferret Jeeter. But it turns out that Bear really does know him personally --- he and Ferret were classmates (and teammates) at Hazelnut High. Bear invites Ferret over to the Big Blue House, where he teaches the gang some things they never knew about Bear. Add a recap »

- Luna: Don't sell yourself short, Bear. Although I don't suppose you could ever do that. You're too big. edit »
- Bear: Oh wow! My very own baseball card!
Pip: And check out your stats, Bear.
Bear: Oh, um --- sniffing - 1000. Hugging... right now. Huh? (Pip and Pop hug him.) Oh, I get it. Thanks, guys. edit » - Ferret: You don't have to make a million clams a year to be a hero. In fact, some of the biggest heroes around are regular folks. Parents, teachers, friends, or maybe just a big old bear who takes care of the people he cares about. If you know what I mean. edit »
- Bear: And they also wanna know --- how... do... you... catch a grounder?
Pip: Grounder.
Ferret: Well, you could have just asked Bear.
Pip and Pop: (laugh hysterically) Bear?! edit » - Pip: Bear, you've been near greatness.
Pop: And we've near to somebody who's been near greatness all this time! edit »

Included in the album are cards of a few more players with spoof names --- Joe Dimagpie, Willie Neighs and Jackie Robinsegg, which, respectively, are plays on the names of baseball greats Joe Dimaggio, Willie Mays and Jackie Robinson. edit »
- The name of Pip and Pops' baseball hero, Ferret Jeeter, is a play on the name of the New York Yankee star Derek Jeter. edit »
