In the San Saba prison, Afro-American prisoners are seen being held in the same cellblocks as white prisoners. During that time period in Southern penitentiaries this would not have happened. The Afro-Americans would have been kept in segregated cellblocks or incarcerated in segregated prisons. (edit)
