    Megatron's comment at the finale is a reference to the events in Transformers: The Movie, particularly the infamous scene in which Optimus Prime dies. It could also be construed as a reference to the original Marvel Comic series, in which Optimus Prime would die and come back on countless occassions. Some fans may also point out that in the Japanese Headmasters series, Optimus Prime sacrificed himself in the initial few episodes. edit »
