John feels like climbing the walls after Chris bans smoking from the diner and Margaret won't let him light up in the office. Elsewhere, Bob convinces Jake that Amanda is cheating on him after Jake unwittingly walks into the diner wearing lime green pants that are too small for him; and Linda persuades John to treat a friend's dog.

Margaret: John, it's only 2:30 PM.
Becker: Why don't we just close early?
Linda: Good night. (takes her bag and leaves swiftly) (edit) Becker: (to the dog, about Linda) If you can ever answer the phone, you can have her job. (edit) (Becker hides the cigarette in his mouth as he hears a knock at the door)
Margaret: Are you smoking?
(Becker shakes his head)
Becker: (pushes the cigarette out of his mouth) Oh! It still hurt a lot less than if she had caught me. (edit)
