Something a little offbeat... hide show
This show has really had me hooked since the very first episode! A vampire, a werewolf and a ghost house sharing, struggling to keep hold of their grip on humanity and trying to rid themselves of their conditions by pretending to fit in. All the while facing opposition from all their kin and a new extreme reigious sect bent on ridding the earth of their 'evil' kind. It's a little different and dark whilst still being a bit of a black comedy. Because of this comedy element it doesn't feel too heavy either! It feels very real so would appeal to drama lovers as well as horror fans... I look forward to many more episodes from this show!
... its refreshing and different, you get attached to the characters very early in the serie, the stories are interesting and you really wonder what will happened to Mitchell and his struggle will he ever learn to feed without killing ? George will accept what he is?? and what about Nina? now that one I'm really intrigue to see how it will be develop!!! and Annie, poor child... she seem to have gain some kind of trouble when she decided not to go through the door... I do have many more questions and I'm sure they will be answered in season 2, but they sure will give us more questions!! This just to say that I do look forward for the next season.
GREAT NEW BRITISH SERIES hide show
Toby Whithouse has writtern an excellent new dark comedy. When I first started to watch it I did think what was this gonna be like because well, a Ghost, Werewolf & a Vampire, it did kinda sound a bit daft, however it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. As for the cast, there is Aidan Turner who I can't say I really liked him in The Clinic maybe because I'm tired of Medical Drama's, but he played blinder is this. As for Russell Tovey he pulled his character off brilliantly. And there is Lenora Crichlow what can I say about her apart from what a Babe... The only thing that I remember her being in was that disaster Kiss of Death. I would like to personally thank the Casting department on ther excellent choice as Aiden, Russell & Lenora where perfect for roles. also I'm over the moon that there is to be a Second Series. GOOD CALL BBC!!!!!
I Could not rap this show up in a few words so read my full review. hide show
If you would have told me that there was going to be a tv show about a Vampire, Warwolf and a Ghost sharing a house together i would have laughed in your face. I mean who would have thought of that??? Well somone did and im glad they did. I watched the 1.1/2 hour pilot episode and loved it so much that i was hoping the show would be picked up by somone as i loved the carectors and the concept so much. I was happy to hear that it did and when i sat down to watch the revamped version with two new actors playing the roles i was nervouse. I was expecting to feel as if there was somthing missing as i loved the original actors. But like most things with this show i was pleased with the outcome. A must watch for anyone who loves a dark comedy with feelings.
A supernatural drama set in Bristol, with a vampire, werewolf and ghost sharing a house and trying to live the dream,"being human!" hide show
Finally an unxpectedly good British supernatural show! Along with Apparitions, Being Human gives us a slice of excellent drama, good writers and cast ..... the only fault I can see is that both Being Human and Apparitions only last six episodes. When will the Brits catch up with the USA and air a series for 22 or 23 episodes. Its gonna be a long wait for the new series of these two British supernatural dramas, but I will definately be there with my finger on record. Unmissable, if you have not seen them ...... get downloading, you will not regret it!
