Betsy Palmer got her start in 1951 on a 15 minute soap opera called Miss Susan. Television roles were soon pouring in for Betsy and by 1956 she had appeared in over 100 television productions. In 1958, she replaced Faye Emerson on TV's I've Got a Secret and would remain with the show until it's final airing in 1967. She starred twice in motion pictures with Henry Fonda, the first being the 1955 film Mister Roberts and the other being the 1957 film The Tin Star. Her most famous role would be that of Mrs. Voorhees in Friday the 13th.
