A lesson is learned by watching this episode: if you want to appeal to kids, you have to be a kid yourself. Of course, Darrin learns that the hard way when he is changed into a boy courtesy of Endora. This turns out to be an excellent marketing ploy when Larry suggests that Darrin as a boy to promote his new client's toy ship company. Of course, Sam changes him back to an adult, but Larry and the client like the boy so much that Darrin gets changed back and forth from adult to kid!

Gladys: The next time she went right through the wall!
Abner: Well, that makes sense.
Gladys: What?
Abner: There’s no point in banging your head against a brick wall. (edit) Gladys: (complains) She walked right into the wall and bounced off again. So any reasonable person would figure it was an accident, right?
Abner: But what did you think, Gladys? (edit) Samantha: (to little Darrin) After all, what do they expect from a 10-year-old kid? (Darrin’s not pleased) Sorry darling, I was only trying to make you feel better.
Little Darrin: Sam, nobody likes a smart-aleck witch. (edit) Samantha: (scolds Endora) Mother, it isn’t funny. How would you feel, if you woke up one morning and found yourself twenty years younger?
Endora: (very pleased with this image) No comment. (edit) Darrin: (angry about Endora) She could have stunted me out of ten years growth. As a matter of fact, she did.
Samantha: Twenty actually, but who is counting? (edit)

In this episode, contrary to an often-used theme from other episodes, it was possible for Samantha to undo Endora’s spell without any additional explanation. Sam was able to turn little Darrin back to normal Darrin and also the other way around.
