As the 1969-1970 season begins, we are greeted by an all-new Darrin Stephens. Tabitha is jealous of the new baby and decides to run away in the storybook of "Jack and the Beanstalk". Phyllis sees Jack and is very confused about what is going on. Samantha finds out that Tabitha twitched herself into the storybook and goes in to get her back. She finds Tabitha shrinking the story's giant and messing up the entire story. Samantha tells Tabitha to put everything right back where she found it and brings her home.

Deacon Jones, who plays the palace guard in this episode, played for several years for the Los Angeles Rams football team. In fact, he is often credited for coining the term "quarterback sack". He is now enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Interrestingly, the opening scene features a close up of Elizabeth Montgomery and as the camera slowly pulls back the audience gets its first glimpse of Dick Sargent as the new Darrin.

During the hiatus, A.B.C. reran all 14 episodes that Dick York did not appear in. They felt that by doing this it would help make it easy for the audience to accept Dick Sargent as the new Darrin.

Originally, Bill Asher and Liz Montgomery were going to end the show after season 5, not only because of Dick York quitting, but because they were both getting tired of doing the show, but the rating were still so high, they went on.
