Season 2 Premiere Bumped Up
HBO has suddenly decided to change Big Love's time slot for the second time. The new day and time is Monday 9 p.m. This also means that the Season 2 premiere will air a bit sooner than expected, on Monday, June 11. Repeats of Big Love will air on Sundays at 8 p.m. which was originally supposed to be the Season 2 time slot.

Season 2 Premiere Date and Time
HBO has set its summer schedule and the premiere date for Season 2 of Big Love. The season kicks in on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at 8 p.m. Note that the timeslot is different from last year when the show was on at 10 p.m.

Golden Globe Nods for 'Big Love'
Big Love has been nominated for a Golden Globe award in the category "Best Television Series - Drama". Its competitors are 24, Grey's Anatomy, this fall's newcomer Heroes, and Lost.
Bill Paxton, who plays head-of-the-family Bill Henrickson, has also been nominated in the category "Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama". His competitors are Patrick Dempsey (Grey's Anatomy), Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Hugh Laurie (House), and Kiefer Sutherland (24).
Fingers crossed for a better luck than with the Emmys!
The 64th annual Golden Globe Awards airs live on January 15, 2007.

Big Love Emmy Nominations
The winners have already been announced but -- for the record -- Big Love did receive three Emmy nominations. Two of the nominations were for creative arts and only one in the "big" categories annouced live at the awards ceremony. No nominations for actors, though.

Season 1 DVD Release

"Big Love" - The Complete First Season DVD set will be released October 17, 2006. The five-disc release contains all 12 episodes, three commentary tracks and a "Big Love: A Balancing Act On Ice" featurette. All this for a hefty price of $99.99.
