Nathan: (to Jaime) So typical of this place - they spend $50 million on you, then won't spring for a Bluetooth.
(edit)
Jaime: This is an insane amount of information to process this quickly.
Nathan: You just have to pull up that Harvard part of your brain.
Jaime: The part that never went to Harvard is much bigger. Besides, I was gonna major in Irish Literature.
Nathan: Well, then, you dodged the bullet when you didn't go because you'd have ended up a hundred grand in debt and still a bartender. (edit)

When the neurotransmitter is being demonstrated by having the subject juggle, they also prove its ability to reduce pain response by burning the subject's hand with a blowtorch. Though the neurotransmitter could have the ability to reduce pain, it should not have the ability to actually stop his skin from burning, but for some reason it does and there is no skin damage.
(edit)
The line "How's your British accent?" is an in-joke. Michelle Ryan is British.
(edit)
Nathan: He had you Manchurian Candidated!
The Manchurian Candidate is a novel (1959), which has been adapted into a film twice (in 1962 and in 2004). It is about a son of a prominent political family who has been brainwashed into becoming an unwilling assassin for the Communist Party. (edit) Title
The title is a reference to the show The Education of Max Bickford, which is about the college professor named Max Bickford.
As an additional relation, Katee Sackhoff (Sarah Corvus) plays Nell Bickford, the daughter of the title character. (edit) Bionic Can Opener:
Jaime: So I'm a glorified fax machine?
Nathan: Come on, don't sell yourself short. You can also open cans.
This is a reference to the original Bionic Woman series, where Jaime uses her bionic arm's fingernail for a utilitarian purpose to cut open a can's top. Calling a bionic person "a glorified can opener" is also a common event in similar stories. (edit) Jaime: I feel like Felicity.
That refers to an American TV series called Felicity. It is about a girl who threw all her plans for the future away for a boy she didn't even know. (edit)
