French tells Casey to go get the beer. Casey gets in the jeep and says in a mocking voice "Casey, get this. Casey, get that" which comes up later in the episode "Love and War". (edit)

Trivia

Goof: The Universal Newsreel copyright at the episode's beginning is 1939 (MCMXXXIX). This date is incorrect based upon the time frame of the series. It should be 1943 as VMF-214 flew under the command of Major Boyington from August 1943 to January 1944. (edit)
During the poker scene where the majors are trying to win back various airplane parts, they are surrounded by their men and also a lot of boxes marked "BEER". After playing for a long time there is a scene outside where Casey is sitting on a jeep worrying about the game. French comes out of the Pen and they discuss which major is the better player. Finally French tells Larry to quit worrying and go get the beer. So Larry gets behind the wheel and starts up the jeep and drives off. What about all the beer that was already in the Pen? (edit)

Jim Gutterman: "Roosevelt surrendered?"
Greg approaches Jim and says "Do you want to hear some good news?" To which Gutterman replies "Roosevelt surrendered?".

Turns out that the good news is that the squadron is getting some R&R. But this may be the only reference in this show to the President of the United States at the time of WWII. (edit)
