A Navy squadron, composed of cocky pilots fresh out of flight school, falsely claims to have sunk a Japanese radar ship in the Solomon slot.
Meatball and the Wolf's wolf pretty well sum up this episode. hide show
This is a fun and exciting episode and is a good example of the show's cookie cutter plot lines. While I'm not a fan of cookie cutter shows, the meat the writers put on this show's outline makes the show fun and enjoyable. This episode’s meat is juicy and tender. Just the way I love my steaks and shows.
The meeting, of the two squadrons’ mascots, is a good clue to how these squadrons will interact. The Wolf meets the Black Sheep pilots with her teeth bared, growling, and looking very formidable. Meatball shows up and Sheba (the wolf) becomes his play thing to chase and finally become good friends. So, it is with this episode for these squadrons. The Wolves and the Black Sheep tangle with each other in show’s typical manner. Finally the wolf lies down with the sheep and peace is the result. Almost biblical don't you think?
If you have yet to watch this show and want a good example, this episode is one you should add to your list.
