Entente Not So Cordiale

- Season: 3
- Episode: 10
- First Aired: 5/14/1973
Sid receives a letter from a French couple who sheltered him from the Germans during the war, inviting him and Jean over to France for the weekend. Jean is especially interested in young Sid, who is just to correct age to be her husband's child.
With their parents away, Mike and Sally decide to throw a big party and invite all their friends. However the fun is short lived as the police arrive to break up the party because of the noise.
Sid and Jean are welcomed by Henri and Odette, and soon start talking about the old days. Young Sid proves to be the child of another English soldier sheltered by Odette and Henri. Jean meets up with Pierre, an old flame she knew during the war . Over dinner and too much wine, Henri proposes a toast. Sid responds, Henri continues his toasts and Sid keeps responding until they are both tipsy.
A careless word from Henri and a retort from Sid sets the argument going.
Henri and Odette, insulted by Sid, leave the room and Sid and Jean are left sitting at the table. Some much for entente cordiale.
