Season 1, Ep 1
- In the final scene where Jim and Karen are interviewing the suspect, you can see the camera clearly in the one-way mirror during the close up of Jim at the end of the interview.

Four Feet Under
Season 1, Ep 2
- In this episode, the detectives brought the murdered boy's father to identify the corpse at the scene of the crime. Usually, this is done at either the morgue or the M.E.'s office.
- When Jim left his apartment in the morning, he had his satchel over his right shoulder. As he crosses the street and is hit by the bike messenger, the satchel is no longer there.
- Lt. Fisk orders Jim to see the psychiatrist that day at 5 pm, but he later attends the dinner party with Christie in the evening. Jim then goes the next day to see Dr. Galloway for his first therapy session.
- After the messenger hits Jim, he falls to the ground and is stranded in the middle of the intersection when Hank continues to cross the street without him. The next shot shows him panicking in the middle of the crosswalk from different camera angles, but from one view Jim is standing on the sidewalk.
- Lloyd tells Karen and Jim that his son, Ben endured the pain of his major injuries, and never told him or his wife about it. Jim responds by saying that the deceased son is stoic for a 10 yr old, but Ben was 12 yrs old. The younger brother, Jake is 10 yrs old.

Rub a Tub Tub
Season 1, Ep 3
- When Jim is defending his reasoning for detecting the scent of cologne to the other detectives, he says that he was in Mary Beth's living room last night. This whole episode took place in one day. Eric was in her apartment the previous night, not Jim.
- The dead detective was "moonlighting" at a local bar -- information shared with everyone, including the squad captain. Now, this seems to be a "cross-over" goof -- This is NYC, and the same producers as "NYPD Blue". Wasn't there a big to-do over a NYPD detective working at a bar this season? This is confusing -- can the detectives now work at bars?

Season 1, Ep 4
- This series was promoted on the show, �My Wife and Kids� in an episode called �Jr's Cartoon,� which aired earlier on the same night. In this episode, a midseason show about a blind detective was mentioned.

Marlon's Brando
Season 1, Ep 5
- The two slashes on the victim's faces were mirror images of each other, but Karen drew them both the same on Jim's face.
- The scene where Jim arrives home to find the door ajar, he is wearing a satchel on his right shoulder. When he enters the apartment and pulls out his gun, the satchel is no longer there.
- When Cheryl, the cabinet-maker claimed that a malfunctioning band saw cut her face, the O.S.H.A. (occupational safety and health administration) would have been performing a thorough investigation at her job site. Three weeks after the incident, she would still be filling out reports.
