    okay is has already been stated in the show that a queen can only bear children by her twin's chevalier, as diva had riku's and should saya care to bear children they would have to be from solomon, and also it had been said once that solomon was saya's fiaance as hagi was diva's, but then how did the first queen had children or how was the first queen born?

    and it seems that they are always twins, diva and saya's mother had twins, big duh, and amshel said that diva is pregnant with twins. but how did that work with the first?

    i know is n ot a big question or not that relevenat with the show since, it is a very small and insignificant part of it, but still, it was just a question! thankjs to whoever can give me an explination!!!

    The first queen (saya's mom) had a chevalier and her unknown sister had one too possibly hundreds of years before Saya and diva were born. I won't say any further if you haven't seen the full series. You understood pretty well about te purpose of the Chevaliers but if Saya wanted to bear children, she would have to mate with any of Diva's chevaliers. But Solomon was never meant to be a bridegroom for Saya : he became a chevalier years after Diva destroyed the Zoo. Anyways, they aren't meant to be together. You'll find out if the english anime hasn't already reached that part.

The queens may very well have been created by an extinct scientifically advanced civilization that were probably wiped out by their creations. Maybe the manga will give us more insight into this. I have fan translated scans of the Japanese versions of Volumes 1 and 2 and there is some plot difference, as well as quite a bit of difference with Carl.

    That's the part most of us don't know. but their must been other Queens before Saya's mom and sister, but it's the anime wonder in me.

    Yeah--the first volume came out about a month ago and Vol. 2 is supposed to be out (in the States) the middle of May...

    oh awesome. Sadly Blood+ is almost over..so I guess I'll read the manga when it's over. Sounds like it's good. Different from the series but that's not a bad thing right? lol I hadn't heard from anyone about the manga before so it's nice to hear from people who read it.

    There is one thing I don't get: After Riku died, Diva's look began to change. Now she looks like a female version of him instead of looking like Saya. Why did that happen?

    I thought it was because she wanted to remind Kai and Saya of Riku and the fact she killed him. I might be wrong though.

    Perhaps, but personally, that explanations does not satisfy me. It makes more sense from my perspective that Diva wishes to project her power and the image of Riku gives her that.

    Maybe it's just me but how could Diva rape Riku and get pregnant? Aside from being awfully young, he did'nt exactly seem excited, he seemed terrified. That would make conception kind of difficult. Of course, I think that they edited it somewhat on. Adult Swim. I can't see that she had any sexual interest in him, she just wanted to hurt Saya. I have trouble believing the explanation that she looks like Riku just to hurt Saya because she does it all the time even when Saya isn't around. I think she is fascinated with people close to Saya because she is emotionally stunted from being iincarcerated since birth while Saya was treated like a human. She can only deal with people as objects and wants what Saya has but doesn't understand it.
