I see careers flourishing, not stalling! I have seen plenty of the old heelers cast members appearing here and there with most of their careers are progressing just fine.
Jane Allsop - Just appeared in The King alongside Stephen Curry, she played Noelene Brown. Quite an important role and a definite step forward in her acting career. Jane has a son and has been playing Mum for a while. She has also been involved in playwriting, releasing her own script, Willow Boy.
Martin Sacks - Works on directing and writing. He also directed an episode of All Saints not long ago. Another career taking off. He was in something recently, or upcoming maybe, can't remember what it was though...
Simone McAullay - hardly a career down the toilet. A role on Home & Away isn't bad. I know she also went to New York to try the audition circuit. Any role on a new show they have yet to be on or a new character to playis exactly why they are actors! As if you would turn down any chance to work on good drama in Oz. Any work they do is challenging as it involves new people, new situations and new roles.
Rachel Gordon - On Home And Away, also on Neighbours, she has also been travelling overseas and broadening her acting talents with auditions in New York. Rachel has done guest appearances presenting for Qld Weekender and some theatre work since her Blue Heelers days.
John Wood- Has had an amazing career! Recently he has performed in theatre as many others have, yet another avenue for great actors. He owns a winery and devotes a lot of his time to his other passions...well deserved I say.
Paul Bishop - I saw Paul not long ago in a play. He also does a lot of theatre.
Caroline Craig - Now teaches at NIDA, training young budding actors. As well as having other roles, one in the ABC's Bastard Boys and she alsoappeared ina movie which aired on SBS.
Rupert Reid - We don't hear much about him because he has moved to America. He was in the matrix and a few other movies.
Ditch Davey - Apart from Police Files Unlocked, I'm not sure what he's been doing. A few guest appearances on our Aussie dramas.
Julie Nihill - Has always worked in theatre, so I assume she is involved in that area.
There's so much variedwork out there for our Aussie actors, not just on the popular TV shows, There's plenty that goes on behind the scenes too.
Good luck to them all in their chosen avenues!
