- Ed Ooosterhuis: Maybe Castillo's right. Maybe we are thinking too dirty on this.
Jack Pogue: It's homicide. You can't think too dirty. edit » - (Questioning Oosterhuis on his comparison of Freddy and Nina to David and Bathsheba.)
Nathaniel Sweet: David and Bathsheba?
Ed Oosterhuis: Oh, yeah. Yeah. You know the story, David has a real jones for her, so he has the husband set up so he's killed in battle.
Nathaniel Sweet: Right. But I don't think Bathsheba was in on it.
Ed Oosterhuis: She knew exactly what was going on. edit »
- Ed Oosterhuis: It could be something way simpler. Something as old as David and Bathsheba.
King David fell in love with Bathsheba in the Bible (2 Samuel 11) and she became pregnant. When he learned of this, he had her husband, Uriah, sent off to war to die. He later wed Bathsheba, but his actions led to God being very angry with him, although he was later forgiven after repenting his sins. edit »
