Steve welcomes us in, saying that he wants us to come see his igloo. He warns us to be careful because the ice is slippery. He explains that he's taken two chairs and put a blanket over them and now he's imagining that it's an igloo. We imagine along with him and we can see it. There's even a puddle by it with fish swimming in it. Imagining hard enough... could it be... yes, we seem to feel cold. Imagination is a great tool and in this episode, we use it to create all sorts of wonderful sights, sounds and smells. Mr. Salt stops by and is wondering what it is he's hearing about an igloo. He can't see anything in Steve's creation other than two chairs and a blanket, but Mrs. Pepper says that she can see the igloo. Steve wonders if Mr. Salt just isn't using his imagination. We find Slippery, Blue and Tickety Tock, who are telling a story using pictures. We use our imagination to follow their story: a bus that uses bubbles for power instead of gasoline takes them on a ride. They go to get some ice cream cones, but they can only find them in the sky. So they get a hot-air balloon and use it to go up and get the ice cream cones. Everyone thinks it's a great story, except for Mr. Salt: he sees nothing but the buttons in their pictures and doesn't understand what all of the talk is about ice-cream and hot-air balloons. Later on, we find Periwinkle outside. We pretend to boat to the backyard and find that Periwinkle is pretending he's in a land of great big dinosaurs. We hide from Blueasaurus Rex, but Mr. Salt's there and he's still not getting it. He doesn't understand: he says he's tried to see the things everyone's talking about but it's just not working. We decide that maybe Mr. Salt needs some help finding his imagination. So Periwinkle comes up with a song to help. "First I close my eyes and dream it / Then I swirl around to feel it..." He imagines that he's at a beach and then Steve imagines being in a jungle. Finally, Mr. Salt decides to try what Periwinkle did. Pretty soon, he's imagined himself eating cotton candy and then an entire carnival. He's finally found his imagination and he heads off to tell Mrs. Pepper the exciting news.
