Joe greets us, saying that today we're playing store. He has a shopping bag and is all ready to go. The first order of business is to purchase a hat for his duck, Boris. He goes to a hat store that Blue set up and says that he wants the biggest hat there is in the store for Boris. We point out a big green hat, which he purchases, pretending to give Blue money. In this episode, we play store with many of our Blue's Clues friends. Even the notebook is for sale, from the "Side Table Store." We get a call from Slippery Soap, who has set up a boat store. We purchase a sailboat, but it needs a sail. We help Joe to purchase a sail that's the correct size for the hole in the boat - the thinnest one. Next, we visit Mr. Salt's macaroni frame store. From him, Joe purchases a frame for a photo of him and Blue. We again help to purchase one that's the correct size. We also help Joe to purchase strawberries from Shovel and Pail - a cup full. In the Blue Skidoo segment, we visit a furniture store. There, Mr. Owl asks us to help out the customers. We first meet Ms. Giraffe, who has outgrown her bed. We use blocks to measure her, discovering that she needs a bed that is eight blocks long. We also help Mr. Elephant to get a door that he can fit through - one that is five blocks tall and four blocks wide.
