Bob Smith: ( regarding the children's television series he hosted as character Buffalo Bob Smith, which aired from 1947-1960) Part of a radio show I had was called the Triple B Ranch. I had a real stupid character on the show, who greeted everybody with "Howdy doody!" That's how we got the show's name.
