Ash Hollow is a waystation. (edit) Ben mentions that they are naming this child after Inger's father, but the next boy will be named after his father, Joseph. Of course, at this point, poor Ben doesn't know that the next child is going to come from a third wife. (edit) Ben is shocked when Inger tells him she is 8 months pregnant. It seems unlikely that he wouldn't have known by then, especially since Hoss was larger than average at birth and Inger was rather petite. (edit) The colts born in this episode look several weeks old and are completely dry. It's understandable that they couldn't film an actual birth, but they could have at least wet down the colts to make them look new-born. (edit)
