3AKY06
The team suspects their own colleagues after the burnt remains of an intern at the Jeffersonian are found in the building's incinerator. At first it's thought that she might have been killed because she was working on an artifact in the Widow's Son case, but then things become more complicated when romantic ties between her and another employee at the Jeffersonian surface. Meanwhile Booth poses as Cam's boyfriend on one of her family get-togethers.
Write a Recap »Loved this episode! Definitely in my top 5! hide show
Great episode. Hart Hanson, the rest of the scriptwriters and the director manage to make the viewer forget that you don't actually leave the Jeffersonian for 90% of the episode.
It's a classic in-house whodunnit with Gorgonzola (sorry... Gormogon :P) acting as the red herring amidst extra-martial affairs and a smuggling operation. The murder mystery is superbly supported by the humour between the main characters that Bones is so famous for. And it's great to see the Angelator making a significant contribution to the solving of the case.
Episode Highlights: Booth guessing Brennan's passwords "Daffodil, Daisy Jupiter."
Interplay between Booth, Cam and Cam's sister Felicia
Guy chat between Hodgins and Booth
The sweet B&B ending.
Great episode – finally some info on the Gormogon artifacts and an in-house murder. hide show
The first of hopefully many episodes about the fascinating Gormogon.
The murdered girl, Kristen, proves to be one of the scientists working on the widow collection. Very interestingly, the artifacts have been tied to a specific group, Gormogon who wanted to eradicate the influence of the Illuminati and Freemasons. Fascinating, hope they elaborate further.
"No shooting of the squints tonight, sorry." Does it not occur to Zach and Hodgins to perhaps warn people before throwing a body off a building? Why is the victim's father allowed to watch the interrogation?
Everyone wanted it to be a serial killer because then it's not one of their own but also because a serial killer is more glamorous and exciting. Despite her work on the Gormogon artifacts, instead she gets killed because she stumbled onto a smuggling operation. Wrong place, wrong time.
Very good episode, found out more about the mysterious artifacts and an in-house murder investigation.
It's like Clue. Murder in the Jeffersonian strikes fear into the hearts of its employees. Two unexplained murders cast suspicion over the squints and their friends at the lab. hide show
It's like clue. If you like the board game then you'll like this episode. The tone of the episode is really eerie. Everything down to the transition slides are creepy. The producers behind this episode really got the job right. While it could be argued that episode is wildly misleading, which I think it is, the twists and turns only make the episode better. At the beginning we think it's connected to the gormogon case. Then the head honcho at the Jeffersonian threatens Angela and it gave me the wiggins. While this doesn't clearly through us off the track, it's pretty spooky. The music and background noises in this episode are perfectly in line with the atmosphere of the installment. Overall I think The Intern in the Incinerator is well-crafted and out of the ordinary.
So this was a completely different episode than those that have been done before. And at the very beginning you are led to believe that this is a Gormogon related case. hide show
And I also think that it shows Booth's fear of the Gormogon case that he constantly mispronounces it.
Just goes to prove that even people with high IQ's can be led to believe what you want them to believe. I did find it hard to believe that she had the affair with that obnoxious doctor. He was a bit of a jackass. But they sure do seem to make Cam a little slow on the uptake. After all she didn't get to be in the position that she is in by being a little on the dumb side. So I wish that they would write stuff for her character a little smarter. I did like the fact that the episode gave you insight on Cam's family life. And the rivalry with her sister just added more touches of reality. And the fact that she asked Booth to be her "Boyfriend" to satisfy her family well that is just pushed it over the top. She must be from the South because I thought only us southerners had family like that.
Other than that it was a great show. The reason I love this Cop drama so much more than the others is that 9 times out of 10 it isn't the guy that I think it is from the beginning. And my friends that makes this show. GREAT!
A feel-good episode. Other filler episodes in the series could learn tons from this one. hide show
This is an important episode for the series. By relying on another "murderer of the week" storyline, the writers saw a way to focus more on the characters themselves. This is the first Bones episode where I can say I laughed my head off, for there were more than a few moments when it felt like the series could challenge genre conventions and become a "thrilling dramedy" - that is, a thriller, a drama, and a comedy. As I stated in the summary, "filler' episodes to come could learn a lot from this one. I can't wait to see what Bones does next.
