The networks have all decided to produce more episodes of their high-rated shows since the strike ended (just) in time to save the end of the season somewhat. Fox only resumed production on 4 shows though, but Bones happens to be one of them. Since the 4 remaning episodes from before the strike were already scheduled (on Mondays at 8:00) from April 14th-May 5th, we only get 2 more new ones though, which will air May 12th and May 19th. At least we will get an actual season finale now on May 19th instead of just a regular episode with no closure.

Finally some good news. What does everyone think?

Fox announced today that Bones will be returning two weeks earlier, on April 14th. Upon its return 3 remaining episodes from this season will air, along with a retooled Player Under Pressure from last season. If the writers' strike ends soon enough (this or next week), some shows may go back into production to pump out a few more new episodes before the season ends, but with the way Fox is scheduling Bones I wouldn't count on any type of real finale. On the other hand, I would count on a 4th season.

Why can't Fox ever make up their minds? Are you guys tired of all these changes? Do you think Bones will be back in the fall?

Yep, sources say Bones has once again been delayed. First it was coming back in January, then at the end of February, and now not until the end of April. The 3 remaining episodes that were taped from season 3 will air starting April 28th, for May sweeps. Player Under Pressure, the unaired episode from season 2, is also supposed to air in May at some point.

So, Bones will be in repeats on Fridays at 8 until March 14th, when it moves back an hour to 9. Then when thenew episodes finally air, Bones will move (again) to Mondays at 8.

4 months without Bones, that's a long wait!

According to multiple sources, there have been 12 episodes written thus far in this season of Bones. As I'm sure we all know by now, there aren't going to be any more episodes written until the strike is over. 9 of the 12 episodes have already aired, which leaves 3, one of which is the previously scheduled The Baby in the Bough. That episode will almost certainly air sometime in January (to usher in the new Friday time period). Either way,the new episodes will be stretched thin, and we most likely will be into all repeats shortly after February sweep starts.

Here's hoping that the third season of Bones isn't a finale-less 12 episodes!
