Sweden: August 17th, 2008 on TV3 (edit) This episode aired on December 25th, 2007 in Denmark, over 3 months before the American airing. (edit) This episode was moved around five times. It was originally scheduled to air on November 27th 2007, then Fox aired "The Santa in the Slush" in its place and moved it to January 4th 2008. Fox then decided to hold back the return of new episodes until February 22nd, meaning the episode would air later (presumably on February 22nd). Fox next decided that the final bunch of new episodes would be held back until April 28th, moving the episode once again. Then Fox said it was going to have the final run of episodes begin on April 14th, which meant this episode would most likely be moved again. Finally, this episode settled on a permanent air date of April 28th, being switched with "The Man in the Mud" so there would be better plot flow between episodes. All of these scheduling changes were most likely due to the Writers' Strike and the lack of new episodes resulting from it. (edit)

Bones: Meg had a number of bone conditions that would have caused chronic pain but she wasn't taking any pain medication.
Booth: Probably 'cause she didn't want it affecting her, you know ... her supply.
Bones: What, you mean her breastmilk? You know, you can say the word breast, Booth.
Booth: Yeah, I know, Bones.
Bones: Didn't Rebecca breastfeed Parker?
Booth: You know, I am not discussing that with you.
Bones: Would "teat" make you feel more comfortable?
Booth: I'm not talking teats with you.
Bones: Why not?
Booth: Enough! (edit) (Andy is crying)
Brennan: Hey! Look at that! He flipped over!
Booth: Bones! That's because you've got to watch him! Geez! Okay whoa! (edit) (Andy starts to cry.)
Brennan: (loudly) No need to fuss! Obviously something is upsetting you! (edit) Bones: (when Andy is crying) How about some visual and auditory stimulation? (edit) Booth: (about the baby) Oh look at him Bones, he looks a little fussy there why don't you pick him up and give him a cuddle?
Bones: What?! Just because I have breasts doesn't mean I have magical powers over infants. You're the one with a son. (edit) Sheriff: There's not even a scratch on the boy. It's a miracle.
Bones: Well hardly. Car seats are specifically engineered to protect the child.
Booth: From what? Flying out of the back of the car and landing in a tree? (edit) Bones: (answering her phone) Brennan.
Zack: I've made some discoveries regarding our victim. Is this a good time?
Bones: (talking to Andy who's grabbing her necklace) No, no, no, no, no, no.
Zack: Okay. (hangs up)
Bones: Zack? Hello? (calls him back)
Zack: Dr. Addy.
Bones: It's Dr. Brennan.
Zack: Oh. Is this a better time?
Bones: (again to Andy) No, no, no.
Zack: Then why'd you call back?
Bones: I wasn't speaking with you, Zack.
Zack: I believe you are.
Bones: I was saying "no" to Andy. He was grabbing my necklace. (edit) Brennan: Strontium is an element found in most rocks.
Hodgins: Human beings absorb it through the consumption of local vegetation and water. Over time the isotope collects in the bones meaning–
Booth: You could use it to figure out where someone's from. (Brennan and Hodgins both look at him, shocked.) That is right people, I am a constant surprise. (edit) Brennan: What do you know about the Cayman Islands?
Booth: Great diving, you know lots of sea turtles. Why, are you going?
Brennan: No, my accountant wants me to set up a tax shelter there.
Booth: Tax shelter?
Brennan: Yeah.
Booth: Exactly how loaded are you?
Brennan: Well that is an offensive way to phrase the question but ... quite loaded. (edit) Booth: (hearing Andy crying over the baby monitor) Are you gonna get him?
Brennan: I figured you'd get him.
Booth: Don't you have responsibility under state law?
Brennan: But you're the baby daddy.
Booth: Baby daddy?
Brennan: You have prior experience with pre-verbal infancy.
Angela: (coming in with Andy) Okay, you two better get your act together or I'm suing for custody. (edit) Booth: You know, you look very, uh, mom-like with that baby monitor.
Brennan: I have responsibilities under state law as a foster parent. I've already bought him toys and clothes.
Booth: Ah, so you bought him some clothes.
Brennan: Well, I sent an intern who apparently loves bears, which in reality would devour a small child. (edit) Agent Charlie: Is it true that Dr. Brennan's taking care of the baby? Because that's, something I'd pay to see.
Booth: Goodbye Charlie. (edit) Booth: Looks like our little guy's gonna be just fine.
(Bones looks at him)
Booth: The little guy.
Bones: Andy.
Booth: Andy's gonna be just fine. (edit) Cam: (about the baby) Oh his name's Andy? Adorable, I had a dog named Andy, that came out wrong. (edit) Dr. Brennan: (showing Andy a stuffed purple elephant) Elephants are not purple. This is wrong. (edit)

Goof: In the scene when Brennan and Booth pull up to the trailer, the car seat with baby Andy is facing forwards, but when Booth enters the trailer and Brennan is shown playing with Andy, the car seat is clearly facing the back. (edit) The baby (Andy) is revealed in the story to be a newborn, but the actual baby himself (or even herself by the looks of it in some shots) is well over 6 months old. (edit) When Booth and Bones go to the trailer and see the door open, Booth worries that the situation might have gotten dangerous. He tells Bones to stay in the car with Andy and drive away if anything happens, and Bones promises him she will. Bones doesn't get into the driver's side of the car though, so if something did happen, she'd never be able to drive away on time. (edit) Goof: In the scene when they are searching the trailer, Brennan is wearing a black jacket and Booth is in a suit. At the end of that scene they say they're going to visit the tire recycling plant. At the plant, Brennan is wearing the same thing, but Booth for some reason is in jeans and a green jacket. In the next scene Booth is once again back in the suit he had on before. (edit) Goof: When Booth arrests Lou he doesn't identify himself as an FBI agent; he simply points the gun at Lou then handcuffs him. (edit)

Episode Title: The Baby in the Bough

This is an allusion to the well-known lullaby Rock-a-Bye Baby, which is about a baby in a cradle who also happens to be in a bough of a tree. (edit)
