The Blonde in the GameEpisode Number: 26 Season Num: 2 First Aired: Wednesday September 20, 2006 Prod Code: 2AKY04 |
After digging up the skeletal remains of a young girl, it becomes clear to Booth and Brennan that they're not dealing with a normal case. It's confirmed at the lab, when they discover that the cause of death points to a convicted serial killer on death row who they've captured in a previous case. A clue is found on the body that leads to another victim - this one only a week old. Brennan and the team must decipher cryptic clues to find the serial killer's accomplice. Things get worse when the team finds out the next victim is still alive. They have to test their limits, racing against the clock, before the young girl becomes the next victim.

Booth: You ever have a dog, Bones?
Brennan: I always wanted a pig.
Booth: A pig?
Brennan: Very smart. And despite the popular misconception, very clean.
Booth: I prefer my pig with a little mint, a little honey glaze ...
Brennan: Not funny ... (edit) Zack: I had some thoughts. Perhaps the point isn't that German is a different language, but that it's actually a different language.
Booth: Great. Thanks, Zack, for being so helpful. (edit) (Brennan is fiddling around the dashboard)
Booth: (slaps Brennan's hand) What are you doing?
Brennan: Where's the siren on this thing?
Booth: Don't touch! (edit) Booth: (referring to a necklace Brennan is holding) What's that?
Brennan: Religious medal. Sarah had it in her possession.
(Brennan gives the necklace to Booth)
Booth: St. Agnes. Patron saint of young women. Especially those who remain pure.
Brennan: How do you know all that?
Booth: Catholic, Bones. (edit) Booth: Okay people! Listen up! I'm calling in a splunking team-
Brennan: Spelunking.
Booth: -spelunking team with imaging capabilities to look for a stone cross. 'Till they get here, let's focus on the ventilation shafts-
(Brennan taps Booth's shoulder)
Booth: -hold on-to the west of the main shaft-
(Brennan continues to tap Booth's shoulder)
Booth: What?
(Brennan points to a stone cross behind her)
Booth: Oh. (to search team) Never mind! (edit)

Since "The Man on Death Row" Howard Epps has grown a full head of hair. In "The Man on Death Row" Howard Epps was bald. This could be due to the fact that Brennan and Booth contributed to his stay of execution.
(edit)
Goof: When Booth and Brennan save the girl from the factory, Booth runs off to find the bad guy. It shows Brennan and the girl and there is clearly a hand holding a black object moving closer to Brennan's head right before the scene switches to show Booth again.
(edit)
Goof: After finding the second body, Booth tells Mrs. Epps that it was found face down like the rest of Howard's victims. But when Booth and Brennan found the body in the mine it was clearly face up.
(edit)
Hodgins: This proves Epps is working for the top level of the Illuminati.
In the realm of conspiracy theory and contemporary folk mythology Illuminati refers to a shadowy conspiratorial organization which is reputed to secretly control world affairs. In this conspiratorial context, the Illuminati are often believed to be the masterminds behind the events that will lead to a New World Order. (edit) Zack: Classic Game Theory.
Game theory is often described as a branch of applied mathematics and economics that studies situations where players choose different actions in an attempt to maximize their returns. The essential feature, however, is that it provides a formal modeling approach to social situations in which decision-makers interact with other minds. (edit)
