However, later when Denny and Alan are on the building rooftop they are shown to be south of Santa Monica Pier. (edit) Denise turns Marlene's Blackberry face-down, then slides it off the table into the garbage. However, when Marlene plays the video back to Paul, Denise's face is visible and you see her sliding it into the garbage (the Blackberry would have had to been facing up to see her face). (edit)

In Alan's closing argument, he mentions the shooting of Rebecca Schaeffer.
Rebecca Schaeffer was shot and killed by Robert John Bardo, an obsessive fan who stalked her for three years through letters.
