Jerry: I thought it best to keep it short but I'm wondering if it's a little too short. May I read it to you?
Katie: Of course.
Jerry: (reading his letter) Dear Leigh. Go to hell. Sincerely Jerry.
(Pause)
Katie: It is a bit short. (edit) Melvin: You know what you are?
Alan: A hoot.
Melvin: With a capital H, that's what you are! (edit) Lorraine: Carl. I was in your office at six o'clock. You were a no show.
Carl: I got a little tied up... with Denny.
Denny: (to Lorraine, enthusiastically) Would you like that? (edit) Melvin: Melvin Palmer. How are you, my friend?
Clarence: Homeless. (edit)
